CHANGE GROW LIVE

The team from Change Grow Live offer a confidential, free, open access service for anyone experiencing difficulties with drugs or alcohol. At Creamfields this year they will be around the campsites from 9am-5pm, Thursday-Sunday, providing harm reduction information. The team can be identified by their purple hi-visibility vests with Change Grow Live on the back. As well as mobile teams around the festival site they will also be located within our new Help Tents. Go and say hi if you see them!

PASTORS

Our team of volunteers from local churches are back again, their listening hubs will be located in the Campsite Village and Gold campsite (See Creamfields app for locations), the team are there to help customers who need help or are in difficulty eg. if you’ve lost your friends, tent etc.  Offering a warm and safe place for people to chat and lend a listening ear with no judgement – just love and Jammy Dodgers!

BROOK

Sexual health charity Brook will have specialists available on site in the Campsite Village every day during the morning and afternoon. They’ll be providing free condoms as well as advice and guidance on contraception, STIs and safer sex.

If you require emergency contraception, these are available from Welfare & Help Tents across the festival site

We want you to enjoy every aspect of the festival, listen to your favourite music, see your favourite acts and do so safely. Hearing damage comes from a combination of loudness and exposure time. The longer you are exposed to sound, the more likely it is to damage your ears, so take breaks and give your ears a rest.  For tips on how to protect your ears and to find out more about safe listening, please click  here

Cheshire Police urge you not to risk bringing any illegal or unknown substances to the event. If you are found to be in possession of controlled drugs, new psychoactive substances or weapons, you are liable to prosecution. The possession of any amount of a controlled drug is a criminal offence and the supply of a controlled drug is an even more serious offence. Carrying controlled substances for others, such as a group of friends, is still considered as possession with intent to supply and will lead to prosecution and a likely prison sentence. We have countless examples of this happening, and it ruins people’s lives. No illegal drug-taking can be assumed to be safe, and there is no safe way to take them.

Think before entering the festival – Don’t bring any prohibited or illegal items with you or use the surrender (amnesty) bins provided to dispose of any controlled drugs, new psychoactive substances or weapons.

We are always thinking of ways to reduce the amount of crime at events but we need you to do your bit too:

• Put money, tickets, credit cards and mobile phones in a zipped pocket or use a money belt.
• Only bring what you need, excessive things that you don’t need are just more things you could lose.
• Avoid bringing or withdrawing large amounts of cash and keep it safe at all times. There are cash machines on the site should you need a top up.
• Postcode the property that you do bring to the event so it is identifiable.
• If you arrive by car, ensure that you leave the doors and windows secure and remove any items from view including sat navs, stereos, CD’s and mobile phones
• Use the lockers located in the Campsite Village for personal items you wish to store safely.
• Only bring the essential bank cards. Make a note of the numbers and store at home to make cancellation easier if they do disappear.
• Track your items, more phones and tablets have GPS tracking and can be located via an app such as “Find My iPhone”.

PROJECT SERVATOR 

Project Servator aims to disrupt a range of criminal activity, including terrorism.

Cheshire Police officers are experienced and specially trained to spot the tell-tale signs that someone is planning or preparing to commit this type of crime. There is nothing to suggest that Creamfields will be the target of this type of incident, but you can help us to make sure of it.

Please report anything that doesn’t feel right, for example, an unattended item or someone acting suspiciously, by telling a police officer, informing site security, or calling 999 if it’s an emergency

We are working with Counter Terrorism Policing to encourage live music fans to #BeSafeBeSound.

Counter Terrorism Policing is collaborating with the UK’s biggest music venues, arenas and festivals to deliver vital safety advice to the public.

We all have a role to play in keeping each other safe. Your safety is our priority and that’s why we have a comprehensive array of measures in place.
You can play your part by trusting your instincts, and if you see something that doesn’t feel right, tell security. Our teams will take every report seriously. You won’t be wasting their time.

Here are some quick tips to help you have a safe and enjoyable time:

• Arrive early, allowing more time for security checks and measures.
• Be patient with security checks. It might seem inconvenient, but they are in place to help you.
• Keep it simple and minimise what you carry. The more you bring, the longer it will take to get in.
• Stay alert and look out for each other. If you see something that doesn’t feel right, tell security. Don’t leave it to someone else.
• Don’t leave bags unattended. Never agree to look after a stranger’s bag, no matter how genuine they seem.

The Medical Centre and Welfare Tent is located at the entrance to Downtown Village near the Steel Yard/Teletech Arena structure and open 24 hours a day across the event weekend.   The Welfare Crew offers non-judgemental support to those vulnerable either through substance use, mental health, are a victim of an assault or sexual assault or those that are finding the festival environment too overwhelming in that moment.  A festival atmosphere and large crowds can be a trigger for some people, and our Welfare Tent is a safe space facilitated by trained and experienced staff where people can be cared for until they feel able to head back into the festival if they wish.

Their staff come from a range of professional backgrounds including drug and alcohol services, mental health, social care, youth, and medical services, with all staff trained in safeguarding and supporting victims of assault and recognising mental health and how to give immediate support.

The welfare team can also support you with arranging how to get home in an emergency, by making phone calls to family and friends to pick you up and then support you to the gates.

Our primary ‘MEDICAL CENTRE’ located near the entrance to Downtown next to and near to the Steel Yard/Teletech Arena is open 24 hours a day across the event weekend with a wide range of fully trained medical staff including Doctors, Nurses, Paramedics, First Responders and Mental Health practitioners.   Our team are able to deal with the full range of emergency and urgent care medical problems and offers the same range of services as a conventional Emergency Department, including an on-site X-Ray service.  In addition to the primary MEDICAL and WELFARE points, we have various medical response teams positioned across the festival site as well as foot patrols across the campsite and event arena.

If you need Medical or First Aid assistance, and if you can, head to the MEDICAL CENTRE on site or approach a member of our First Aid or Medical teams who will be able assist.  If it’s an emergency reach out to the closest member of staff who will be able to contact our Event Control and get assistance to you; only dial 999 as a last resort as this may not be the best way of getting help to you on the festival site.

We don’t recommend that you try to make your own way off site to hospital, access to medical treatment is available on site, you may delay receiving treatment by trying to access health services elsewhere, if the medical site team do feel you need transfer to Hospital services they will make the appropriate arrangements.

How can I get my bearings on site?

Pepsi MAX presents Creamfields is a sprawling site and can feel overwhelming. Orientate yourself by getting to know where the camping, Medical Centre, Welfare Tent, Help Tents and toilets are and use What3Words to pin your tent location.

For the best way of getting around, make sure you download our app where you can find an interactive map which will show you exactly where you are at any given time. Also, stay connected, stick with your group of friends and look out for one another, arrange a designated meeting place where you can regroup if you get separated.  The Headphone arch is an easy one to find if you’ve not attended before.

Where can I get help and information on site? 

HELP TENTS 
As well as the primary Medical and Welfare points, you will also find a number of ‘HELP TENTS’, located in Downtown and open 10am-midnight, you will also find them dotted around the event arena (open during event arena opening hours). Supporting our existing medical, welfare and other assistance provisions on site, our trained staff are on hand to help with anything you need whether that be, losing your friends, feeling unwell, personal safety, needing a bit of space to chill out or just needing to know where the nearest water point is, whatever it is our friendly teams are on hand to assist, and if they can’t answer your question….they know someone who will!

In addition we have ‘HELP TENTS’ located inside the event arena, operating as additional support units for our medical and security teams onsite. Staffed by trained professionals including paramedics these hubs are to ensure that medical and safety help or assistance is available and close by for festival goers if they you need it.

INFO HUBS 
Our hubs have been created as a meeting point for campers, a place you can go for help, assistance, a rest or even just to find out if there’s been a change to the set times – the Hubs are located in the campsites and staffed 24 hour by our friendly staff who are there to help. They might even make you a brew!

Where can I relax & unwind? 

If you’re camping be sure to check out Downtown if you fancy a chill out, its the place to go if you want to escape the music and relax. With an array of hammocks for you to kick back on and shelter if the weather turns, plus this will be where our qualified and trained welfare staff will be based who are there for help and support or even just a chat.  If you’re a Gold ticket holder your oasis lies in the Hospitality arena with an array of indoor and outdoor seating areas.

If you are prescribed medication for continuous use, please ensure you bring it with you and take it as directed. Only the prescribed amount required for the duration of your stay at the event may be brought onsite. Medication must be in your name, and you may be asked to present identification to confirm this.

ALL medication should be in the correct packaging, and any loose medication not in the correct packaging will not be allowed into the festival.

If you have specific medication which requires refrigeration this can also be stored at the Medical Centre on site and must be labelled with the customer’s name and contact details.
